Jessica O’Neill has a Diploma in Canine Behaviour Science & Technology and has been working as a professional Animal Behaviour Consultant for 6 years. Now recognized as an Expert Witness for the Provincial Court System, Jessica has boarded, fostered, bred, owned and worked with many different types of animals throughout her life.
She worked along side of Cheryl Smith (Owner of Urika Animal Behaviour Consultants & Forever Friends Dog Training School, and an internationally recognized Canine Behaviour Specialist) as an apprentice for 2 year, and previous to that she completed several intensive theoretical online behaviour and training study programs with the Companion Animal Science Institute.
Jessica is the working Canine Behaviour Consultant at Lanark Animal Welfare Society. She has assessed over 100 shelter dogs and provides staff and volunteer training. She heads up the "Meet Your Match" adoption program by screening individuals and pairing them with suitable canine matches.
Jessica is also a Professional Member of the CAPPDT (Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers) and the AABP (Association of Animal Behaviour Professionals).
Jessica is a Pet Behaviour Consultant Columnist for the EMC Record News distributed throughout Lanark County, Stitsville & Kanata. She has been published in Reader's Digest online, Canadian Living Magazine, Ferret World Magazine and has been interviewed as an expert on CBC, CFRA & EZRock Radio Ottawa.
